Authorized degens
Anyone with this role can see the private commands channel
Overview
@Authorized degens is a new role that is added to the discord server. This happens when DEGEN is invited to your server or when running the /setup command.
Users with this role have access to several features that DEGEN provides:
a personal private thread under the 🤖-commands channel
access to /poap start
access to /poap end
access to /poap distribute
access to /poap mint
This role is important as it provides a safeguard to any claimable POAP links that might get uploaded to the discord server. Everyone with this role can see the private threads that are created and the conversations that occur with the user and DEGEN. Therefore it is important that only trusted organizers of events or trusted distributors of POAPs are given this role. Lastly, any role placed in a higher position than the @Authorized degens role might be able to see the private 🤖-commands.
Role Placement
Discord has a subtle role hierarchy. The position of the roles on discord is important. The topmost roles have access and permissions over all of the roles underneath. Therefore, it is important to place the @Authorized degens in the topmost position where you feel most comfortable. Once this is complete, all of the users with this role will be shown on the right-hand side ("hoisted").
